Summer School 2022: Management of health services in a Franco-Quebec context

Activités de formation

The 2nd edition of the Health Services Management in a Franco-Quebec Context summer school will focus on the theme: “Innovation in a post-pandemic health and social services system”. This meeting is directly in line with the objective of disseminating and enriching knowledge.

The training will focus on 5 themes :

  • Patient in the reorganization of health care and services
  • Healthy oganization
  • Innovation in care trajectories
  • Digital transformation and artificial intelligence for the service of health and social services establishments
  • Learning health systems - operationalization and evaluation

Training is provided by community personnel, patient partners and teaching and research staff from the faculties of medicine, nursing, engineering and administrative sciences at Université Laval, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University and the University of Strasbourg.

This training is offered by the Centre de recherche en gestion des services de santé de l’Université Laval and the Institut de Formation et de Recherche sur les Organisations Sanitaires et Sociales de l’Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 (IFROSS) in collaboration with the Institut intelligence et données.

Delirium is a condition that, when left unmanaged, is associated with increased mortality and longer hospitalization of patients in intensive care; therefore, its detection should be an integral part of care. It is characterized by confusion, anxiety and reduced alertness. It is estimated that 75% of delirium cases are not detected on admission to hospital. Detecting such an acute condition requires frequent monitoring of participants, which is labor intensive and requires expertise.
